Why Omaha Metro Homeowners Choose Our Window Company
Bay and bow windows transform how light enters your space and add distinctive character to your exterior. We measure and design each installation to match your home’s architecture, roofline, and foundation—no cookie-cutter templates.
Our crew has installed bay and bow windows in homes across the Omaha Metro. Learn more about our team — we know the climate, the building codes, and the details that make the difference between a window that looks good and one that performs for decades.
Bay and bow windows from Pella, MI Sunrise, and Heartland come with insulated frames, weather sealing, and your choice of glass options. Our installation technique means no air leaks at the corners—critical in Nebraska winters.
Bay and bow windows require reinforced headers and proper foundation support. Our crew verifies your home’s framing and installs the correct support structure before the window unit ever goes in, so you get a window that will last.

Our Process
Your Bay & Bow Window Installation Process
-
Consultation & Design
Your project starts with a conversation about how you want to use the space. We discuss bay-vs.-bow preference (bay = three sections at an angle; bow = four or more sections in a gentle curve), exterior sightlines, interior furniture placement, and available budget. We bring our showroom experience to your home and sketch design options tailored to your roofline and foundation.
-
Precise Measurements & Structural Assessment
Bay and bow windows require exact measurements and a structural check. Our crew measures the opening, confirms your home’s framing capacity, and identifies any support modifications needed. We’ll tell you if your foundation needs reinforcement or if your roofline requires flashing adjustments—no surprises later.
-
Material Selection & Frame Preparation
Once design and measurements are locked, you choose your window frame color, glass package (double-pane, low-E, privacy options), and interior trim finish. We order your windows from Pella, MI Sunrise, or Heartland and prepare your home’s opening—removing the old window (if applicable), inspecting the framing, and installing any required structural support.
-
Installation & Sealing
Our crew installs the window unit, secures the frame, and applies weather sealing at every joint and corner. We double-check the sill for proper slope (so water runs out, not in), verify the frame is square and level, and seal the exterior with flashing and caulk that matches your siding.
-
Interior Trim & Final Inspection
We install interior trim, casing, and any custom details you selected. Then we walk through the finished installation with you—opening and closing sashes, checking the view, testing the locks, and confirming everything operates smoothly. We leave your home clean and show you how to maintain your new windows.

Bay & Bow Window Installation FAQs
A bay window uses three angled sections (typically 30–45 degrees) to jut out from your wall, creating a geometric look and a window seat inside. A bow window uses four or more curved sections to create a gentle, rounded projection. Both expand your room and add light; the choice is about your home’s style and interior layout.
Bay and bow windows work best in rooms with solid exterior walls and roof support above—living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas are ideal. Bathrooms and kitchens can have them too, but plumbing or electrical runs need to be rerouted. We assess your home during the consultation and let you know if a specific room needs prep work.
A typical bay window weighs 150–300 pounds, depending on size and glass package. Your home’s foundation and framing are already rated for this load; we verify during our structural assessment and reinforce the header (the beam above the window) if needed. Modern construction handles this easily—we’re looking for anything unusual.
Pella, MI Sunrise, and Heartland all offer double-pane, triple-pane, low-E (heat-reflective), and privacy-tinted glass. Low-E glass reduces heating and cooling costs by reflecting infrared light. Privacy options work for bathrooms or street-facing rooms. We show you the performance differences and help you choose based on your room’s exposure.
Bay and bow windows from our brands use insulated frames, weather-sealed joints, and your choice of low-E glass—all contributing to better insulation than older single-pane windows. However, they project outward and expose more surface area to the outside, so the energy gain depends on your current windows and climate zone. We’ll discuss realistic efficiency gains for your specific room.
Installation timelines vary depending on your home’s size and the amount of structural work involved. Larger projects or homes with complex framing can take longer. We’ll give you a detailed, realistic timeline during your consultation.
Bay and bow windows have more joints and corners than standard windows, so they benefit from yearly inspection of the weather sealing and caulk. We show you how to clean the glass and moving parts—just like any window. Most maintenance is visual: watching for drafts or condensation between panes, which signals a seal failure.
Absolutely. A built-in window seat takes advantage of the interior shelf space a bay or bow window creates. We coordinate with custom cabinetry installers or can recommend local craftspeople. The window installation itself is complete before the seat work begins, so there’s no conflict.
Your windows come with the manufacturer’s warranty (Pella, MI Sunrise, or Heartland) plus Monarch’s 3-year labor warranty. If the window unit fails during that period—seal failure, hardware problems, frame defects—the manufacturer covers replacement. Our labor warranty covers installation defects. We’ll explain both warranties at your final walkthrough.
Our structural assessment answers this. We check your foundation, roof framing, and wall load capacity during the consultation visit. Most homes can support bay and bow windows without major work. If reinforcement is needed—a new header, foundation pads, or roof support—we’ll estimate that cost upfront.
